How does the Energy Indicator work?

Suppliers enter the energy consumption data of their appliances into a database. The project organisers use this data to calculate the average annual use and costs.

This is done using a common calculation method. Individual retailers can log in online and download all of the information needed for products they distribute. The retailers then put the energy consumption in the national curreny on the price tag.
